TCAP End of Course Testing at BHS will begin April 15, 2025.  Students enrolled in English I & II, U.S. History (not AP USH), Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, & Biology (not AP BIO) will be taking TCAP End of Course Tests. EOC Tests count as the second semester exam grade in these courses.  

Please review the TCAP Testing Schedule for specific dates and times.  Dismissals will not be allowed during testing blocks. Dismissals will not be allowed during testing blocks.

Please make sure students charge Chromebooks each night and are well rested for End of Course Tests.  The guest wifi will be turned off during the two weeks of testing.

The Academic Awards ceremony will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 6:30 PM at the Bethel World Outreach Church. Students should report at 6:00 PM. Invitations to individuals receiving an award were sent in the mail the first week of April.

Senior Semester Exams will take place May 15-20, 2025.  Please view the Senior Exam Schedule for specific dates and times for each testing period.

Important Reminders:

• No exam may be administered before the scheduled exam day. An exam may be administered after the scheduled exam day with the Principal’s approval.
• Seniors who have an average of 90 or higher, no unexcused absences per class per semester through Wednesday, May 14, and have not been suspended, including ISS, are exempt from exams.
• Students who are enrolled in an AP class and take the AP exam are exempt from the course final exam.
• All students are expected to be at school all day during the examination schedule. Students who are not present, including students exempt from exams, will be counted as absent.
• A student who does not take a required exam will not receive credit for the course until the exam is taken. Any student who is not exempt and misses an exam will receive an “I” as their exam grade and semester average. The “I” can only be removed when the student takes the exam. The grade will not be changed to “0” at any point unless the student physically sits for the exam and does not correctly answer any test item.
• All students will remain in their classrooms during the entire exam period. No student will be permitted to leave early during an exam period.

Students in grades 9-11 will be taking spring semester exams May 19-22, 2025.  Please see the Spring Exam Schedule for specific dates and times for each testing period.

Any senior family interested in purchasing a video of graduation, please stop by guidance and pick up a Graduation Ceremony Video Order Form. The video will be saved to a flash drive. Flash drives will be available in the BHS front office throughout the summer beginning Monday, June 13, 2025. Please contact Sloan Ashworth with any questions.

NED MCWHERTER SCHOLARSHIP

The Ned McWherter Scholars Program application opens on January 1, 2025, for the 2025-26 academic year. The application must be submitted through the TSAC Student Portal. You can learn about the scholarship and other state-funded financial aid opportunities at our TSAC website.

Students or counselors must submit outstanding application requirements through our secure file drop using TN Cloud with the password McWherter2526. To protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) for students, TSAC policy does not allow received emails to contain PII which includes Social Security Number, date of birth, etc. Therefore, please upload documents for students who have already applied through the TN Cloud secure file drop rather than email. The deadline to apply and submit supporting documents is March 3, 2025.

To be eligible to apply for the Ned McWherter Scholars Program, students must have a minimum ACT composite of 32 (1430 SAT) and a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.75. ACT Superscores cannot be used to establish eligibility.

NASHVILLE PREDATORS SCHOLARSHIPS

The Nashville Predators Foundation has two scholarships (Jack Diller Education Award and the Terry Crisp Scholarship) that will be given to deserving students that reside within the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area. Our winners of these awards will be honored at games in the spring. Please see below for information on the two scholarships:

Jack Diller Education Award: The Jack Diller Education Award gives four college-bound students in the Nashville/Middle Tennessee area a $2,500 scholarship each. The scholarship takes academic achievement, athletic success and community involvement into consideration. The online application includes: application, 2-3 page essay, letters of recommendation and an official transcript. 

Terry Crisp Scholarship: The Terry Crisp Scholarship is a $5,000 annual grant to a Middle Tennessee high school senior that will enroll at a public college or university in the state of Tennessee. The scholarship will be awarded to the student that best possesses the traits that Terry embodied himself through his playing, coaching and broadcasting careers and all through his life: leadership, hard work, passion, perseverance and outstanding character. The student does not need to play a sport for this scholarship. Online application includes: application, 2-3 page essay, letters of recommendation and an official transcript.

All students should have received their new HP Chromebook. If a student was absent on their assigned day, they should visit the library to swap out their Chromebook.

WCS Student Chromebooks

• Charge your Chromebook every night and bring it with you every day to school. Closing the lid does not shut down the Chromebook. Use the power button on the left side to power it off. Shut down your Chromebook each night.
• This Chromebook is the property of Williamson County Schools and is provided for academic purposes. You are responsible for taking care of it. All content on a WCS Chromebook may be monitored.
• Do not remove the protective cover or the screen protector. If a screen protector or protective case comes loose on a Chromebook, the library should be notified immediately. Any damage that occurs to the Chromebook when the library has not been notified of a missing case or screen protector may result in a damage charge.
• Use only a WCS issued charger to charge this device. Replacement chargers may be purchased for $20.
• Intentional damage or harsh usage resulting in damage will be a $40 charge. Intentional damage that results in total loss of the Chromebook may be treated as vandalism and result in charges for the total loss of the Chromebook.
