Brentwood High School is a comprehensive high school that opened in 1982 to serve the rapidly growing population in the northern part of Williamson County. The school serves approximately 1750 students in grades 9 – 12. The pupil/teacher ratio is approximately 21.7 to 1. Students that attend Scales, Lipscomb and Edmondson Elementary Schools and Brentwood Middle School attend Brentwood High School.
Since 1982, there have been numerous additions and upgrades to the campus: in 1985, classroom space was added as the school’s enrollment quickly exceeded original projections. In 1987, a multipurpose room was added, serving as both an auxiliary gymnasium and auditorium, and also included drama and choral classrooms as part of the addition. Several athletic upgrades followed: a wrestling facility was built in 1998; in 2000 a field house was added to serve as weight room, football locker room, and multipurpose athletic facility; and in 2002-2003 football stadium seating and press box upgrades and soccer facilities were completed. In 2014, work was begun on the 500-seat Brentwood Performing Arts Center, which opened in March of 2015.
At Brentwood High School, our motto of “Excellence through Teaching and Learning” is evident as we strive to challenge our students every day with highly rigorous curricula, bell-to-bell instruction, and strategies designed to facilitate learner success at all levels. The mission of Brentwood High School is to prepare all students to reach their highest level of achievement in academics, athletics, and the arts. Our vision is to establish a strong foundation for lifelong learning, to empower students to achieve their goals, and to equip students to be responsible citizens.

Bell Schedules
BHS has a variety of bell schedules to accommodate events during the school like Late Start teacher meetings and pep rallies. On a typical day, BHS follows the Regular Bell Schedule.
